Reading the Rainbow!

This is a simple challenge where you read books with covers that match the different colors of the rainbow.

If you want a bit more challenge, read two books for each color, or even three!

The covers can have other colors, but should be predominantly the specified color.

Keep track however you wish (post here as you progress, or keep notes somewhere else), but please post here when you're finished so we know you participated, and so we can see what you read. :reading-4:

Remember to include the covers!

Red

Orange

Yellow

Green

Blue

Indigo

Violet

It would be an easy one if we read a book about the production of Skittles where the product was on the cover, no? :shifty:

Love this idea! So do we have to read in order - i.e., start with a red book and work down the spectrum? I have the Flavia Dr Luce series in mind (author was Alan Lee, I think?) but the cover colors are definitely not in order. I think it starts with green and bounces around from there.
Love the idea though, because almost every genre has its own color-themed series...

No need to do them in order. :)

Have fun!

This is a cool idea! Reminds me of the time I wasted one week when I organized my books by color on the spines. Quite a mess. About 600 books stacked here and there around my office as I muddled through them.

It lasted about 6 weeks - I gave up and separated them into Categories again, because I could not find what I needed.

Plus, I found the colors to be disappointing. The colors weren't as bright from a distance as they were up close.

Now I have to go back and see if any of the ones I have read so far this year qualify. Great challenge!

:lol2: I love this idea also. New take on judging a book by its cover as well!
