I've only read the sample but I like the premise and the characters in the book! If the sample is anything to judge by, I have a strong feeling I'm going to like the book very much!
I guess the title isn't as captivating and interesting as the book itself. However, you will actually enjoy it.

This was an outstanding choice for the Book of the Month (BOTM) it is captivating. I appreciate reading historical fiction and this excellent book has it all. It is cleverly written. I like the two main characters, and the author does a wonderful job at providing enough information so that the reader gets to know the characters very well. The vivid details really help the reader understand what is going on as the two soldiers do their jobs in Cairo. It is really nice how the author successfully built-in a delightful romance that really helps balance the entire book.

I have not read this book but it’s on my list! The comments I’m seeing are very encouraging too. I love the idea of a well-written war story that manages to be funny and clever too.

I like a book which makes me laugh out loud. This one did it. Furthermore, the cover image tells a story of its own.

I love this book very much. Although the book was talking about the war, there were some comedic positions and this is the most I liked in the author's writing style. So, I recommend reading this book and rate it with 4 out of 4 stars.

I enjoyed reading the Warramunga's War. However after the two left Cairo and the story continued I felt like I read two separate books. The characters were the same but the entire setting and tone of the story was altogether a different experience for me.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The book was a little monotonous but it did read well. I enjoyed Jackos humour alot. The friendship and brotherhood between Jacko and Jamie was very touching and made me also want to have that kind of friendship. I liked the espionage part in the story. I reccomend this book to adult who enjoy historical fiction.

I love historic fiction and this book is a beautiful representation of it. I admire how the author was able to merge war and comedy. It is a 4 of 4 star rating for me. The whole gun thing can be a bit tiring but then it's still such a good book

I'm about to start reading this book for a review, and the comments here look pretty promising. I quite enjoy a humorous read and it seems that some comments here are suggesting it. Quick question though, is there anything I should be taking note of before going in? Perhaps something to keep in mind to better understand the story?

I rated this book 3 out of 4 stars. The book is very well written. The author spent time researching the topic. The two leading characters were very nicely developed. For me this book had a bit of everything. This was a very positive reading experience for me, and I would love to read the other two books that are part of this trilogy written by this author.

I think this book deserves 4 out of 4 stars. It is such an enjoyable read which takes us back to WWII. This book is not just about the war ( I'm not a great fan of war books), but mostly about the friendship between the 2 main characters, Jamie and Jacko. What I liked about this book is the fact that the author pays equal attention to both main characters. At no point did I feel that one character became more important than the other. I also liked that you can sense that the author really did a lot of research before writing this book. Overall, I absolutely loved this book and I would recommend it to everybody.

I read this book a while ago and absolutely loved it. It's well written and keeps one entertained from the first page until the last. I enjoyed the comedic approach the author took even though the book revolves around war. Krater has a way of pulling at your heart while at the same time consoling you with laughter. My only issue with the book is that it drags a little towards the end. Nonetheless, it's deserving of a 4/4 rating.
Also read the other parts of this trilogy
