ARA Review by shelljack24 of Something Special

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Something Special

The story starts off by the teacher asking the class to write a short story about anyone or anything they wanted. I'm not quite sure how the bird became part of the story in class full of individuals. The storyline is about a bird who thinks he is nothing special compared to an artist, actors, dancers or even singers. Nor does he feel he is smart. He feels that since he is not special compared to anyone else, he decides that he should destroy the school.

Sometimes all it takes it one person to make us feel that were are special. We should never compare ourselves to anyone.

I rated this book a 2 out of 5 stars. The storyline was great. But I felt the illustrations were a bit disturbing. I felt encouraging the reader to destroy something based on the fact that you personally didn't feel you were special. The book was very short.
