ARA Review by Ksenia Bogdan of Lets Talk! a story of autism and friendship

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Today i finished reading the book 'Let's talk! a story about autism and friendship' by Lisa Jacovsky.

The author tells as a story about Harper and her new friend Emma, who she met at the pool. Emma had some communicating problems due to Autism Spectrum Disorder but the book shows us how it is not a problems when it comes to friendship. For me, Harper is a perfect example of how innocent, kind and accepting a child can be. I love how the story showed that Harper saw Emma as her friend and not as someone wrong, just someone a little different from her or her friends.

In the beginning of the book, you feel strong empathy as you see all the things that the child is not able to do because of the diagnose and in the end of the book you understand that ASD is not an obstacle or a barrier to true friendship.
The book is very simple and absolutely helpful to anyone who decides to read it. Some lines are funny, some evoke sadness and strong empathy. You can expect some specific techniques, instructions and advices from this book.

In my opinion, this book is very useful for parents or just for anyone who would like to learn a little more about autism, to anyone who would like to get rid of patterns and stereotypes. The book does an excellent job of introducing the concept of autism to young readers without being overly complex or intimidating. It strikes a balance between being educational and entertaining, making it an ideal resource for parents, teachers, and caregivers looking to discuss autism and diversity with children.

In the conclution i will give this book 5 out of 5 because it adresses an important topic in a very easy way and teaches the reader some useful tips it communicating with people in spectrum. I think every person should read this delightful and educating story.
