Maybe the author is trying to impact or influence a certain audience (people who are either religious or intrigued by biblical themes). I'm pretty sure he thought of it deliberately because a title can make or break a book. :tiphat:

I find the title to be suitable because Christians and Bible scholars can immediately identify with it. The title is a promise which God made to Abraham and which Christians refer to when they say "Abraham's blessings are mine". I knew it was Christian literature from the title.

The title itself is very nice and biblical but I was expecting a different content like how God made for example, Isarael a great nation. But while reading, the book was just retelling the old testament's stories. Now i believe that this content would have been suitable for a different title.

At first, I didn't see 'old testament stories' written in a script small relative to the title of this book. So, I thought that this was about a former president or something like that. I didn't think it was a religious book. But, I'm not a Christian and I don't know if there's any connection between the Bible and the title of this book.

I think the title is appropriate. Those are the words God spoke to Abraham and the book is about the stories in the Old Testament. I haven't read very much of the book yet, but what I have read gives me more of an understanding of the title.

I thought the title somewhat obscured the subject matter. The book isn't about "making a great nation" - it's the same old stories, just retold slightly differently. It doesn't really point in a "nation-building" direction.

I came to know later that it was not so. So I do agree that the title is a little confusing.
Exactly the same. I thought its a biography of some political leader

i did not like the title because i felt it was a patriotic book, not religious. either way, it wouldn't be my first choice. i think "i will make of thee a great country" or "people" would have been more appropriate.

I liked the book's title. Considering that it recounts Old Testament's stories, I believe it is suitable, indeed. I thought it was an appropriate title.

When I first saw the title of this piece, I thought it had something to do with politics, government, and the improvement of society. However, learning it was more religious and spiritual in nature, the title still made sense to me.

I had the same thought. I, myself, believed the title implied the second idea before I finished the book, which may turn people off of it or offend people.

Yes it is, and being a book about old testimonies you would hope the title fits.

I can agree. It may work better if the title was something like "old testimonies in a new light" or something or another.

I think the "thee" was what made it sound religious.

The title definitely had some political aspect that could confuse some readers, and it seems that it has. It also sounds religious with the word "thee". It sort of fits, but not completely.
