I would also like to have tracking skills and excellent vision in the darkness.

Not done with the book but from what I've seen and heard Sarah's skill to track is the one I want cause God knows I need it.

I'm a Linguist but unfortunately I'm fluent only in two languages. Would definitely love to be able to master all the broken bits of other languages I know!

If I could pick just one, I would pick Sarah's skills for tracking. She does it effortlessly, reading information from the terrain that no one else can even see. It's interesting that her skills in the jungle are comparable to the native rainforest dwellers, even though she is from a very dry place.

If I could pick one other skill, I'd pick Johnny's ability to pick up other languages. I'm really surprised he was given the dictionary to learn more Malay. As basically a prisoner of war, I would have expected his captors to leave him to rot, especially after finding out he was not the man they were originally after!

She is so fierce and I love how even though she is a super tracker, she still holds on to her girly side. Her and her brother make an amazing dual for the wilderness! It seems as if there is nothing that can stop them! I can't wait to finish the book.
I agree, the fact that she still holds onto her girly side makes her more relatable.

Johnny's ability to pick other languages reminds me of my elder sister. I, on the other hand, I struggle learning new languages.

I agree! I’ve wanted to learn another language for so long. I’ve practiced a ton, but typically feel like I get no where! I wish it could be that easy.
I share in your predicament, I am unable to learn a new language to save my life!

I own a 40+ acre farm in the village. Last year I bought about 60 chicks to start a poultry project. However, there was a very tactical, savage wild cat that got about 15 of my chicks. I wish I knew how to track it to its liar.

I'd love to have Sarah's tracking skills too although I'm not sure they'd come in much use in my day to day life 😂

Yup, the tracking skill is the most amazing.
Also, the ability to make bird sounds.

I'd like to be able to move undetected and be able to blend in the surroundings. It's like being a black cat moving in the night.

Sarah’s tracking skills are amazing. I’m always impressed by someone’s ability to do that. Although I really have no need for tracking skills at the moment, you never know when it might come in handy😉

I concur! I love learning, and have taken many online courses, but I'd love to be able to learn languages easily too.

This would be an incredible skill to have! Also I am pretty impressed with anyone that is able to survive in the wilderness; that is a skill I lack!
I agree with you both skills are good to have and I lack them. No, I never was in the jungle and it sounds terrifying.
