If I could pick one other skill, I'd pick Johnny's ability to pick up other languages. I'm really surprised he was given the dictionary to learn more Malay. As basically a prisoner of war, I would have expected his captors to leave him to rot, especially after finding out he was not the man they were originally after!

I agree, the fact that she still holds onto her girly side makes her more relatable.Samantha Shinn wrote: ↑02 Oct 2019, 04:53 I haven't finished the book yet, but I can say that I would definitely love to have Sarah's skills. She is so fierce and I love how even though she is a super tracker, she still holds on to her girly side. Her and her brother make an amazing dual for the wilderness! It seems as if there is nothing that can stop them! I can't wait to finish the book.

Johnny's ability to pick other languages reminds me of my elder sister. I, on the other hand, I struggle learning new languages.e-tasana-williams wrote: ↑22 Oct 2019, 16:22 If I could pick just one, I would pick Sarah's skills for tracking. She does it effortlessly, reading information from the terrain that no one else can even see. It's interesting that her skills in the jungle are comparable to the native rainforest dwellers, even though she is from a very dry place.

I share in your predicament, I am unable to learn a new language to save my life!

I concur! I love learning, and have taken many online courses, but I'd love to be able to learn languages easily too.

I agree with you both skills are good to have and I lack them. No, I never was in the jungle and it sounds terrifying.Stephanie Elizabeth wrote: ↑02 Oct 2019, 07:36This would be an incredible skill to have! Also I am pretty impressed with anyone that is able to survive in the wilderness; that is a skill I lack!
