Fitting title: yes or no?

After reading, do you think Opaque is a fitting title for this book? Do you know of a title that might be more encompassing of the story itself?

I remember one sentence in this novel mentioning Adam’s opaque mind. That is the only mention that I remember seeing, and I assume that is the basis of the title. I think that Descendant might be a more fitting title - in respect to both his descending mental state and the eventual discovery that he is a descendant of the powerful families.

To be honest, I don't remember that reference to the novel's title. In what way is his mind opaque? That's a somewhat obscure reference. Though I totally agree that Descendant would've been a better title.

I don't really see how Opaque fitted with the story, so I think a different name would work.

No, I don't think it fits even though it mentions that Adam's mind is opaque. It needs more unique and captivating title.

I did not like the title of the book. Made it less appealing.

I found this title quite irrelevant to the main contents of the book. There is just no connection! Something else powerful nomenclature should have been given to make this book more appealing.

The title doesn't seem to fit in to the book. Maybe there's supposed to be a link to how opaque Adams mind was to everything that he has found out ever since Carly arrived? Even if it's that, it seems a bit farfetched.

I think a more mysterious and exciting title would catch the eye of more perspective readers. I chose the book based on the short summary I saw, but if I had only seen the title, I probably would have passed.

I think it was mysterious and interesting so pulled me into the book but after reading I feel the title does not reflect the story.

I don't think it is a fitting title. I remember completing the book and wondering why was the book named 'Opaque'.

I didn't think Opaque was a fitting title. As someone else mentioned, Descendant would've been more fitting.

Opaque is another word for clear, but I don't really see anything in the story that encourages that meaning. Unless the events that unfold in front of Adam clearing up his mind matches with the title.

Yes I think the author chose a fit title for the book. Opaque represents the opaque mind of Adam. The story line of the novel rotates around the actions that were processed in Adam's opaque mind.

I think it was a pretty vague title and it wasn't very relevant to the plot. I sorta remember the metaphor for Adam's mind that others have mentioned but I thought it was pretty weak.
