The title of this book, Love Again, Love for Them: A Novel, aptly describes the theme of this romance novel. Author R.A. Lee shows that there are many kinds of love. Brooke, the protagonist, learns not to let her past love overshadow her present happiness.

The novel opens with Brooke, a new widow and single mother, facing foreclosure on her family home. In addition, Brooke can no longer afford to keep her mother in a dementia care facility. In this very fictional novel, filled with unbelievable coincidences, Brooke meets Jake, who is looking for a woman to engage in a marriage of convenience. Jake has a domineering mother who wants to see her son married.

The saga of this tangled web of deceit and misunderstanding drags on for 35 chapters before the obvious climax. It was not hard to predict the outcome, although I was surprised that the grouchy, suspicious mother-in-law quickly reformed into a generous step-grandmother to Brooke's young son.

I often choose these types of cheesy novels when traveling. The book must meet certain requirements. Will it hold my interest for a three-hour flight? Will I be compelled to keep reading after I reach my destination? The answer to the first question for this book is yes. The answer to the second question is no.

My rating is two out of five stars because I was unable to connect to any of the characters. I am also deducting points because I found more than ten grammar errors. It is evident that this book has not been carefully edited for content either. One example is a scene where the husband of Jake’s girlfriend is described as having passed away. A few paragraphs later, the reason given for this character's new, single status is divorce.

I recommend this book to anyone who is stuck on an airplane and doesn’t want to interact with their seatmate.
