A coming-of-age story that includes myths, legends, and mystery? This sounds like a good mix. Plus I do love the Pacific Northwest, and I bet it makes a gorgeous setting. Thank you for your review!

Well, even if the intended audience for this book – or even the series – is made up of young adults, it looks like the historical and cultural content in this case comprising the Pacific Northwest, would appeal to older people too. It is not a region much written about, I think.

Every community and society tries to keep its traditions and customs alive. They do everything possible even if it requires war. Nice review.

I've been eyeing the Strong Heart series for a time now, wanting to get started reading them. Since this is the third in the series, I'll wait on it and read them in order. Great review! It looks like a fascinating read!

I like well researched stories and this seems like one. The author has done a great job piecing it together though one night need to read the first and second books in this series first. Thanks for your review.

Being the third series, I'm curious about the first two. I like that the author has an accurate and in-depth background and unique writing format. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out how the secrets of Bear Valley will be revealed as Sarah Cooley gets confused with the mysterious elf-kills. I like suspense novels and this one is right up my alley. Congrats!

The book seems interesting and provides a nice opportunity to learn more about ancient nothern cultures. The book is also though-provoking trying to answer the questions which are really important nowadays. And I also like the idea described through the whole book of keeping traditions alive in an ever-changing world. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Since this is the third book in the series, I would like to read the other two before getting to a conclusion. One thing that stood out for me in the review is that the book has the element of suspense which is a characteristic of a good book for me. Nice review!

I have read "Strong Heart" and it was an impressive novel. It's good to know that this sequel is just as good or possibly better. It will be on my radar for future reading.
