This is an insightful look at someone who has suffered the heartbreaking loss of a loved one. Although it is fiction, the internal discussions and feelings are very realistic for someone who is grieving.

This book addresses a difficult topic such as the loss of a loved one. Although this may be a useful guide to dealing with a loss, it seems like a sad and heartbreaking story. I hope Larissa finds solace in some way.

**Book Review: "Comfort in the Wings" by Jennifer Collins**

"Comfort in the Wings" by Jennifer Collins is a deeply moving and heartfelt exploration of grief, love, and the hope for redemption. The story follows Larissa, a woman shattered by the loss of her son, Eric, and then plunged into further despair by the death of her daughter, Emma. Through Larissa’s journey, Collins vividly captures the overwhelming emotions and struggles of someone trying to navigate life after such profound losses.

Collins' portrayal of Larissa's internal dialogue is both intimate and relatable. Readers are drawn into Larissa's world as she attempts to rationalize her actions and make sense of her grief. The author skillfully depicts the emotional rollercoaster that Larissa experiences, making the reader feel her pain, confusion, and occasional glimpses of hope. The dreams Larissa has almost every night add another layer of depth to her character, making her journey all the more poignant.

The storyline is smooth and easy to follow, with realistic and engaging dialogue. The minor characters are well-developed, each with their unique stories that intertwine with Larissa's, showing different facets of coping with loss. This adds a rich, communal dimension to the narrative, emphasizing that grief is a universal experience that can be shared and understood in various ways.

"Comfort in the Wings" stands out for its raw and honest depiction of the grieving process. It’s a book that will resonate with anyone who has lost a loved one, particularly parents who have lost a child. Collins has turned her personal tragedy into a powerful narrative that offers solace and understanding to those in similar situations.

Despite a minor error, this book remains a compelling read. I rate "Comfort in the Wings" 4 out of 4 stars for its emotional depth, relatable characters, and beautifully crafted story. It is a masterful exploration of human resilience and the enduring search for peace amidst heartbreak.

This book just sounds so very very sad. Like most people, I've experienced loss but I'd rather not re-live it through this book. I'm going to skip this one.

Dealing with the loss of a loved one is never easy and having to also deal with the disappearance of her son was a double tragedy for Larissa. It's a story that is relatable and one I would recommend as a good book to read because death is inevitable and at one point or the other in our lives we may have to deal with the loss of a loved one or comfort someone in the same situation.
