I adore books that draw the reader completely into the narrative, and this one does just that. Some of the themes the reader might anticipate include love, relationships, and decisions that can improve or ruin one's life. For her excellent writing and the lessons she imparts via Corbett and other characters, the author is deserving of praise. I can definitely understand how the disparity between relationships and occupations may contribute to wonderful literary conflict because it seems to play such a big part in this work.
