Definitely not my cup of tea, because the situation described in this novel doesn't sound quite realistic to me. I highly doubt it is possible to become a "successful businesswoman in the male-dominated world of New York construction" while regularly finding herself in compromising situations. After all, reputation is the most fragile thing and men never let you forget it.

Great review! She sounds like a powerful, successful woman, but one who leads a sad life. I did enjoy the sample that I read and your review, so I will definitely read this one. Thanks for the review!

This book sounds powerful and emotionally raw. I admire Heather Martin’s courage in sharing such a personal journey of love, sex, and redemption. I’m curious to see how her story unfolds and what lessons she discovers along the way. Thank you for featuring this book!

Sounds like an interesting book! I love the premise of the book --- a strong and powerful female character who breaks gender stereotypes, dealing with taboo topics such as childhood trauma. If I dealt better with profanity and sexual content, I'd probably not think twice about reading it, but unfortunately for me, those topics really ick me off. Still, if someone asks for a book like this, I'd probably refer them to this. Thanks for the review!

*Fuchsia Parade* by Heather Martin follows Kailee Johnson as she navigates trauma, self-discovery, and healing within New York’s high-powered construction industry.

This does sound like an entertaining story that portrays the power of resilience; I also like how the book shows that our inner well-being is never quiet and also seeking redemption.

The book shows how little by little she confronts her traumas and begins to make real changes and seeks a healthier and more conscious life.

This book is written in first-person narrative. Kailee tells her own story, bringing the reader along with her as she has sessions with her semi-crazy therapist, hooks up with men (and women), and parties with her boss. The author does a wonderful job of creating a powerful story for Kailee. The story is surprising in its depth and emotion, considering that when we meet Kailee, she’s obsessed with her Theory clothing, Christian Louboutin heels, and Mercedes Benz car. Kailee had an abusive childhood, and it is a big part of who she is and what she values. Her childhood experiences are entwined with her beliefs and work ethic, and they impact her friendships and relationships more than she realizes.

Habits, if not well-managed, can be a great challenge and quite detrimental.
Heather Martin's "Fuchsia Parade: One Woman's Quest for Sex, Love and Redemption" centers on Kailee, a powerful female whose lifestyles and personal choices led her on a journey of redemption and healing. People needing healing from traumas, abuse, and redemption can benefit from reading this book.

I just downloaded "Fuschia Parade" by Heather Martin, and I hope to really enjoy the story. I enjoy each and everyone's comments here and, this really makes Kailee's life worth delving into. I haven't read romance novels in a long time. The context and style must be epic!

Readers who relate to promiscuous people would enjoy Kailee's character arc, kick-started by a moment of neglect and prospect of an STD. I like the humor too.
I write the best reviews possible. :idea2:

This is an interesting story told from the author's point of view, who tells us about her different interesting experiences in her life. It also touches on the subject of childhood trauma that she herself experienced when she was young and her various setbacks during her career and personal life. It also has a touch of humor, making your story very entertaining.

It sounds like once you start to read this book, you get on to a rollercoaster ride. Exactly the type of book I'd enjoy 😉 . Kailee sounds like quite a character and it seems like she does not back down from any challenge whether it's work or play. Thanks for a great review. Congrats on BOTD and thanks for the free book.
