Hands Across The Sea" by Brian Cook., a book that features service, command and the sheriff. It will be interesting to read how law and order was maintained in this government agency. This is an interesting book to read.

The book sounds intriguing. Some people say that work is your second home (sometimes your spend time there even more that in your home) and your colleagues are your second family. So it will be interesting to read about this "law enforcement family". Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Long books are not my thing, but seeing such a strong group of men in this storyline makes me curious how it will end; this is especially true when lately, all I have seen about police forces are negative. Thanks for an awesome review!

This review makes it clear the book is more than just a police story. I like how it focuses on the personal side of the deputies, like promotions, friendships, and tough choices. The part about Cottrell dealing with illness and still trying to lead stood out to me. Sounds like a detailed and character-driven story.

Law enforcement is a matter I've always been intrigued in especially their work environment since they are the people who keep us face through fighting crimes and I'm sure I'd love to read this book.

"Hands Across The Sea" sounds like a gripping look into law enforcement life, with strong bonds and all the messy workplace dynamics. Cottrell’s story and everything happening around him feel both emotional and real. Congrats on BOTD!

I am glad that part of the premise of the book is strong social support even when working in a stressful environment, particularly through robust relationship with family and friends. It appears that Sheriff Cottrell left an indelible mark and whoever is coming after him has a lot to do. The book is on my to-read shelf. Thanks for the amazing review, @Cee-Jay Aurinko.

'This is a phenomenal novel which sketches the personalities of a wide cache of command staffers all the way from the sergeant to the Sheriff and his Three Wise Men.'
I hope I can keep up with the seemingly plenty characters.

Hands Across The Sea review was great! I enjoyed the dialog used to describe his family members and traditions. A career in Law enforcement set well in their family culture. Their duties has pass down throughout generations.
