The author has put together something worth reading, delving into some speculations about American politics. This would play out as a great movie as well, and I can't wait to dive in. Thanks for the detailed review. Congratulations to the author on being selected as BOTD
There was a series I was watching called "The Recruit" since I enjoyed that, I just knew I would enjoy this book.

Gabe’s descent into the murky world of secret government operations was gripping. His initial skepticism about Tall Alex, Short Alex, Justin, and Peter made his eventual discoveries even more shocking. The way Ross unpacks the hidden dangers lurking beyond left-wing leadership was both unexpected and thought-provoking.

There's a lot of dishonesty and deception in government establishments. Gabe had to wade through these murky waters to achieve his goal. I can't wait to see how he navigates this.

This political thriller is set in modern-day America and has espionage at its core. The author examines how differing political ideologies collide. The protagonist, Gabe, is beaten into submission by Homeland Security and forced to gather information from a left-leaning group.

"The Conscripted Extremist" by A. Marc Ross is an exciting political thriller with a man named Gabe as the main character. Author A. Marc Ross uses this story to examine the political landscapes of today’s America, the left-wing and right-wing ideologies, agencies that report to the government and the hazy lines between honesty and deception. Gabe is beaten and then blackmailed by members of the Department of Homeland Security who are determined to obtain information about key members and the leadership of the left-wing group. Gabe was not convinced that any of the four men he was supposed to spy on were involved in the leadership of this left-wing movement. Ross discovers many secret things much more dangerous than the threats of left-wing leaders. Political intrigue is the most dominant theme in this book and the lust for power can lead individuals and organizations to engage in violence and oppression that undermine democratic values. The story takes place in New York City during the post Covid-19 period. This book is an exciting read that made me realize how complex the issues are today after Trump returned to the presidency. Many right-wing people want to destroy our constitutional republic for their own gain. I look forward to reading the entire book.
