My friend recently gave me a book called Dusty Stardusty for my birthday present and I love it. Reading it is like opening a window and getting a fresh dose of air. I've already read it many times and every time it's like completely new again. Has anyone else read it?

What's it about?

obviously, I have not heard of this book, but you intrigued me, so do tell!

Well I don't really want to spoil it but it's about this guy who is a cleaner of the stars in the sky. He drives the moon like a motorcycle and goes shopping on Mars... Sounds like a children's book but not really. The writings are truly deep and I believe it talks about what we as human beings should never forget. I think a lot of people connect with it, if they haven't forgotten what it is that really makes us as good and human, naturally. The descriptions the author makes of things in this world are just so colorful and really cool as they are uniquely Mica Aer, and I think she knows what's really beautiful and the things she likes that she is talking about. It's worth reading just for that new way of expression of hers. It's really original and innovative. Worth every penny, in my opinion. I thank my friend for giving me this book and introducing to the world of Mica Aer... She makes me feel like something's really happening here and now. She has a website which is micaaer dot webs dot com I'm going to buy a copy myself for another friend of mine.

I agree with Sebastian about her writing being deep. Anyone can tell stories but very few can make a point. Mica Aer both makes valid points and sense, and she definitely rules doing that. She nails the truth. She's not just another dumb cheap storywriter.

I found out about this forum on her book by searching the web after I saw an online book ad that interested me and bought a copy. Anyone else out there who knows more about this author/artist?

By the way, is her name a pseudonym? Rearrange her name and it spells America...

Yeah, a pen name, probably, judging from her use of a lot of wordplay in the book. And I agree again with Sebastian about her writing being "colorful." Boy, does she know colors.

What is your favorite chapter? For those who are not yet familiar with the book, it has 24 chapters and a collection of poems at the back that is presented like a circus show.

My fav chapters are 2, 10, 18 and 21. And the poem called "Shooting Star."

7, 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21--but I can't really choose, I love them all. And I think the alternate titles at the back of the book show the deepness of each chapter really well--I love how Chapter 7 is named "Magic Carpet" when the author doesn't really talk about a flying rug. Anyone's best bet would be that she talks about the importance of imagination, that's what this particular chapter is about, and I really like that. The poems are all good, too.
