Ancient history

If you're interested in learning about ancient history, Robert Harris's POMPEII and IMPERIUM are fun novels that take place during the Roman empire. (The latter book is about Cicero.)

Thanks for the info!

Are the books historical fiction? Do they mostly detail actual events that took place, or is it more fictional?

I recetly read London by Richard Rutherford. I really enjoyed it. It is historical fiction similar to James Michner. I have read everything by Michner.

As for Rutherford, I have read Ruska and loved it. That's why I picked up London. I also bought Sarum but had a really hard time finishing it. So Rutherford is 2 out of 3 with me.
