Need SF recommendations

I've been reading for the past couple of years and found that I really like Arthur C. Clarke and Orson Scott Card. I've heard more from the older authors but not the newer ones. Can someone recommend a current author that has similiar ideas and writing styles of Clarke and Card? I'm mostly into the silver and golden age of SF but am looking to find who current in the genre. Thanks!!!
