The Christmas Star That Found Its Light written by Liz “Granma” King and illustrated by Kristin Conant is an entertaining and uplifting children’s book. It is a short book filled with colorful illustrations that move the story along. It tells the story of Christmas ornaments in a box in the attic. The ornaments become family, and they anxiously await the time of year when they will be brought downstairs again to be placed on the Christmas tree. As they realize it is that time of year again, they begin to wake up and stretch out in the box.

When someone drops the box filled with ornaments, they worry that one of them may be broken. As the ornaments are placed on the tree, they realize that the Christmas star intended for the top of the tree seems broken. Rather than trying to fix the star, the family placed the star outside in the cold and replaced it with a new star. The old star was lonely and scared outside in the dark. Eventually, a stranger picked up the star. You’ll need to read the book to find out what happens to the family of ornaments and the Christmas star.

I enjoyed reading this book. It sends a positive message to children about hope, change, and fixing things. Also, there is a religious aspect to the book that readers will enjoy. It conveys the message that no matter how dark it may seem; we are not alone. God’s light shines on us. What I enjoyed most about this book was the positive message it sends to readers. There was nothing that I disliked about the book.

The illustrations were very colorful, and children will enjoy looking at them in conjunction with the story. They depict what is happening in the story very well. As the children are hanging ornaments, there is a cute dog depicted in the illustrations that readers will enjoy seeing. Parents and children will love reading this book because it’s entertaining and educational.

I recommend this book to parents of young children. The story is entertaining and will teach children some life lessons. I believe the book was professionally edited because I saw only two errors. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I wouldn’t give it any less than a perfect rating because it is an entertaining book that provides children with some life lessons. It is also beautifully illustrated with colorful images that move the story along.

This book is great you could actually picture out what's going happening. It's like what's going on in real life on that one specific season Christmas. Ornaments wait and wait for that time to shine and be out of the dark to show their colors and all but even though something is broken never just give up on it try to fix it, because look at it waited so much months just to be thrown out and away from your family.

It's a good book I recommend it

From the review, it reminds me of an old holiday show I watched as a kid called "Noel" About a Christmas ornament and a tree becoming friends, but they ornament ends up getting broken. Adding this to my to be read list.
