[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Doyle's Law" by Sam Roberts.]

[rwc=id356178-125]4 out of 5 stars.[/rwc]Doyle's Law by Sam Roberts is a futuristic science fiction novel set in the year 2142 AD.

In the closing days of Neith, a space station located in the orbit of Venus, the only scientist remaining there is Dr. Jim Ryburn, along with the caretaker crew including Chief Jake O'Connor, Jerry Benson, and Seymour McSweeney. Once a celebrated genius, Ryburn is now considered a lonely drunk. Yet, he has not given up hope. He is trying his best to make his clandestine Mercurian venture a success. His latest Mercurian mission upends the lives of all those aboard Neith. Strange occurrences in the space station baffle O’Connor, Ryburn, Benson, and McSweeney. O'Connor comes across time travelers, Doyle and Anderson, while Ryburn finds himself on the verge of a ground-breaking discovery.

What strange occurrences take place in Neith? Who are Doyle and Anderson? Why do they meet O'Connor? Is Ryburn able to make his discovery? If so, how does it affect the world? Most importantly, what is Doyle's law?

Doyle's Law truly baffles the mind. It explores various dimensions of time and makes us ponder the effects of our actions. Through the character of O'Connor, we get to see how our rash decisions can lead to harsh consequences. He is one of the most intriguing characters. I love how he is able to evaluate himself at various points of time. His burgeoning connection with Doyle is heartwarming. Ryburn is another key character. I was fascinated by his intellect. He was the one who surprised me in the end. Benson is a gem of a man. I appreciate his patience and strength. McSweeney, on the other hand, is one complicated character. However, one thing is for sure. You will definitely empathize with him by the end. Doyle and Andy are enigmas. I am intrigued to know more about their pasts. The elusive Radcliffe fascinated me the most.

Science and time are the key themes of Doyle's Law. I appreciate Sam Roberts for simplifying the scientific facts. I also applaud the author for beautifully tackling the concept of time. Without giving any spoilers, I can only say that the time traveling in this book is like no other and will definitely make you think.

Doyle's Law by Sam Roberts is perfectly paced. It keeps surprising the reader till the very end. I found nothing to dislike in this book. I rate this 4 out of 5 stars. I have taken off a star because I found more than ten errors.

I recommend Sam Roberts’ Doyle's Law to fans of science fiction and time travel stories. I am more than eager to get my hands on the next book in the series.
