Excercising and meditation seems to work wonders for me as well. Always remembering to breathe right and engaging the core muscles is the key.

Running is the most useful for me. I have always ran to get rid of stress and anxiety.

Does guided meditation work the same as one that's not guided? If one was to learn how to be good at it, in like with this book, what else would you add?

For me, I relieve my stress and anxiety by switching my attention from a stressful time and doing an outdoor sport like cycling.

Thanks for sharing. I used to do it out of passion and for fun. I'll try this one, definitely!

Exercise helps me to reduce my anxiety from day to day significantly. But the ability to calm myself by sitting still and drifting into a place of mindfulness is what helps me on a minute to minute basis. Developing a meditation practice is one of the best things I've done for my anxiety and stress, and I believe it holds so much value for others. I was happy to see it featured as a treatment in this book.

Apparently for me, I will say working out and exercise (skipping) are very paramount for easing stress and anxiety.

After reading this book, I also discovered that having some few minutes of introspection daily just before sleeping, is an effective remedy to prevent anxiousness.

There's the mind and body coordination with running and you would also pay attention to the beautiful minor details, such as the cold breeze of the morning and the pounding of your shoes against the road. It's liberating ! hehe
I've never tried running and meditating at the same time. But I've found long runs to be more mind involving than short ones, do you feel the same?
I do :hand: And about that running and meditating at the same time, it's baffling but it's true. I think all the time, and by think I mean I'm always reflective. I have the thoughts of an overthinker, but when I run, those thoughts were silent. My body focuses on running and my mind focuses on what really matters. Hehe

I think exercise is essential for all of us. But, for me, the key has been to find the right combination of tools and remedies. In my experience yoga, a healthy diet and meditation have been the perfect combo, but I've resorted to other remedies in moments of particular stress. Lavender works magic for insomnia!

Meditation is my go to remedy always. I am usually a calm, cool person but when anxiety attacks me only a good meditation and some fresh clean air can help me think straight and get rid of the distractions

For me, exercising helps because it makes you feel like you have stamina and control over your own health and that you can change your situation. It also gives you a bit of euphoria so you feel accomplished after a good run.

Among the numerous stipulated methods, I find physical exercise and meditation to be most effective. Physical exercise helps in muscle relaxation while the latter aids in mental and emotional relaxation.
Together, the two can form a very essential tool to combat stress and anxiety.
