Exercises like running can be a suitable way to exercise without going to the gym. Such things are a recommendation for health.

You should always try the natural remedies first. If the problem persists than always seek expert help.

Sometimes, natural methods of alleviating anxiety and stress are effective enough not to require conventional medication afterward. For it to be effective, the natural methods have to be applied early on in the course of the stressful situation and not when it becomes chronic. However, it is advised that one consults their medical professional before commencing any alternative therapy.

I believe that natural options should be used in mild cases but in the event of more severe cases one should consider both natural options like yoga and also use medication

Natural remedy can substitute orthodox (conventional) medicine depending on the signs and symptoms of illness or condition.

I agree that natural means should be used first and I really do appreciate the author putting those out there. But, sometimes that doesn't work and that is okay. I have struggled for a very long time with anxiety and depression and my therapist once told me something amazing. She said that sometimes being on medication allows you to get to a place where these more natural methods or non-medication methods become more effective. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for example can be productive on its own, but even more so when paired with necessary medications. As a consequence of this combination, you may be able to go off or reduce your dosage based on the alterations in though process that happen in CBT. Sometimes medicine is temporary and sometimes it is not. I do think natural methods are worth a try, but you should not be ashamed to need medication. Sometimes your brain just needs more of a certain chemical than others and that is okay. You are okay.

Personally, I think it should be individual based, the stress and anxiety treatment that works the most for a person should be what he adopts. However, on a general level, I dont think the natural method can ever substitute the traditional medicine, because there are anxiety that are so severe and requires medication.

I think Stress and Anxiety isn't a medical health issue but due so much problems, troubles, loss of sleep, etc so, natural remedies is usually the best treatment for it. But, when it's not yielding result, maybe due to how the person has conditioned his/her mind then, medication can be prescribed to help such a person.

I think it really depends on the situation. Everyone carries a different amount of stress for sure. One method might work better for some people. In my own opinion, I think a mix would be better. But some people might choose to use alternative methods because they're sensitive towards or unable to use methods such as medication and remedies.

It depends on the magnitude of stress and anxiety within you. If you are feeling a little stressed, then natural options are adequate. But if you are feeling that you're suffering a major problem, then I believe that medications are required.

I think that it depends on the stage of anxiety. Yoga and breathing exercises are effective in the beginning or the mild cases. Medications would be essential in more severe or suicidal cases.

Of course it's not a substitute, it's only meant to assist. This correlates with how the author said to "take responsibility for your own life". In doing so, you can do these natural options to help alleviate your anxiety

gabrielletiemi wrote: 01 Aug 2020, 14:16 The author talks about a lot of methods to help with stress and anxiety, for example, meditation and yoga, which are indeed helpful in dealing with those issues. In my opinion, nowadays, the natural options don't substitute traditional medicine, I think they are complementary to each other.
But I'd like to know your opinion about this topic: do you think those natural methods can substitute the traditional and conventional use of medicaments? If not now, do you think they will ever be able to substitute them?
Yes, they can. If used rightly because many medications are extracted from natural herbs.

It depends on person to person. Some may gain more benifite from natural options and some from modern medicine. I think a combination of both of these is the best.

I agree with you. Natural options can't be a complete substitute for medications. Natural remedies can help to calm down a person, but the physical damage caused by anxiety and stress needs modern medicines. And I think they both are necessary to cure stress and anxiety.
