It proves that you don't need to reinvent the wheel to write an interesting saga as this is a classic form of fantasy with a medieval flavor. I loved the characters as Matthew Tysz gives a lot of details about their actions, moods, feelings with a great developments. Even minor characters are very much alive. It made me want to go on with its sequels.
I fully agree with you. The characters were developed very nicely. I enjoyed the fact that they had depth and interesting personalities. It was fascinating to read about their emotions as it allowed the readers to connect with the characters and better understand them deeply.

I didn't like the fact that Galen only had little to no effect in the major conflict; however, it is understandable since the book this serves as an introduction to the series and focuses on world-building and character development. I also extremely enjoyed reading the first few pages of the novel. The beginning is entrancing. I am extremely awed by the author's captivating writing.

I agree with you as I was also a little bit disappointed about Galen not having a significant effect on the conflict. However, in my opinion, that fact didn't have a negative effect on the storyline. It was very exciting to get to know all the characters and learn about their personalities. The author did an excellent job with character development.

The author really knows how to build up the plot and add drama and mystery to it. The characters are all equally unique and the dialogues in the book have a sense of witticism to it that I adored. A really good book for those looking to star reading a fantasy series.

The books of the series are truly unique. The storylines are exciting and hook the reader from the first few pages. My favorite part about the series is the excellent development of characters. In my opinion, the characters the fact that the author describes their thoughts and emotions makes them more relatable and interesting.

There were minor things I didn’t like, but it’s a good book if you like fantasy! I just started the second book in the series and I’m very curious as to what will happen now.

It is fascinating how well the characters of the series are developed. Matthew Tysz did an outstanding job describing the characters' personalities, thoughts, and emotions. The storyline is exciting and makes the reader constantly wonder about what is going to happen next. I hope you enjoy the rest of the books in the series.

I quite liked the book. I loved how the Author described the world he was creating. I wish I could have given it 4 stars but I counted quite a few errors.

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a promising book under the fantasy series genre. I love how this book started with the coming-of-age of Galen's character and building himself through discovery and adventure. I like the dynamism the main character possesses towards the end of the first book.

This novel transported me to a different realm of imagination. The creativity and the complete novelty of story line. It’s was thrilling to read. I love how this particular book laid the foundation for the rising actions in the sequels. I had to rate it a 4 out of 4 because it was totally worth it.

I think it’s funny how Galen who started off very lost was the one instrumental to extinguishing the looming leash of the Emperor of Lullabies on Voulhire.

This book was very inviting and fundamental to the success of the whole series. While it didn’t paint the whole picture at once nor struggle for a story line. It clearly presented the reader with just enough thrilling details to continue the series.

I thought this novel was an interesting way of introducing a series and the world of Voulhire. Part of me wishes that there was more plot building and less world-building, but I have a feeling that this book being so heavy in world-building will make the rest of the series so much richer in plot and character development. I look forward to continuing the series!

I think the book was well written I can give it 4 out of 4 stars. I enjoyed the character and the plot but I felt the last parts of the book were somehow hurried. It's a great start for the other series.

I am reading this book currently.
The book is so interesting from the very beginning that its difficult for me to put it down.
The way author describes each and every event just puts the reader in front of the scene itself.
Its definitely a great read.

The book was overall wonderful. I loved the fictional world Matthew Tysz has created, and some of the characters were so well-written I couldn't help but be in awe with them. I disliked the length of the book, but it made me more interested in reading the following books, so a blessing in disguise really. I would recommend the book to others because the style is spectacular and the book will surely capture the hearts of many.

I give this book a full rating. I dislike the fact that it is a series but the plot is great. Galen as a character has made the book more interesting.
