Helen Waziri wrote: Yesterday, 09:02 I’d like to add that For Your Benefit stands out for its creative use of satire to tackle real-world themes like government overreach, propaganda, and societal conformity. While the mystery is quirky and often absurd, it’s anchored by sharp commentary and clever cultural references. This balance between humor and thought-provoking subtext elevates the story beyond your typical detective novel, making it both entertaining and surprisingly insightful.

This review really sold me on the book! I love detective stories with a twist, and the mix of satire, quirky characters, and a wild plot sounds like so much fun. Teddy’s empathy and the unique dynamic between the Lint brothers sound like a refreshing take on typical detective duos. The mention of strange artist collectives and shadowy organizations adds even more intrigue. Thanks for the thoughtful and detailed summary—it makes me want to dive into the story myself!
