2nd book in the Lara and Uri series. The review explains this book and the series well. I didnt know that the author is a Middle East expert, so that adds authenticity to this spy thriller.

I love high stake international thrillers like this. I heard so many good things about East Wind and am sure that this book will also be very thrilling. Thanks for the amazing review.

I adore Lara and Uri's relationship because it strikes a healthy balance between work and play. I've gained a good understanding of world history by reading this. Undoubtedly going to wrap up this series, but don't worry if you read the books separately! Entertaining and full of action, ideal for further refinement.

I think I would like the book more had I read the first book in the Devil Among Us series. It is quite interesting how the book asks one question after another throughout certain chapters of the book.

"Devil Among Us," the second installment in Jack Winnick's Lara and Uri series, intricately weaves a gripping narrative around the aftermath of a New York synagogue suicide bombing. FBI Special Agent Lara Edmond's investigation leads her to a Jewish family suspected of involvement, unveiling hidden secrets that prompt a collaboration with Mossad agent Uri Levin. The novel transcends the conventional spy thriller, incorporating elements from various genres and revealing a broader plot, including a threat against Israel.

Action takes precedence in this sequel as Lara and Uri navigate perilous situations to uncover a complex terrorist conspiracy involving multiple extremist factions. Jack Winnick skillfully crafts a dynamic narrative filled with unexpected twists, surprises, and revelations, delivering a compelling story that keeps readers engaged. The evolution of Lara's role from a computer-savvy intelligence specialist to a field agent aligns seamlessly with her accumulated experience, maintaining the authenticity of the characters.

While the novel's negative portrayal of the European Union drew a minor critique, the overall strength of "Devil Among Us" lies in its satisfying conclusion and the realistic progression of Lara and Uri's personal relationships. Tailored for mature readers due to its exploration of complex social and political situations, coupled with some explicit violent scenes, the book stands as a 5-star recommendation for enthusiasts of gripping plots and international intrigue. With its standalone appeal and expertly crafted narrative, "Devil Among Us" is a must-read for those seeking a thrilling and multifaceted literary experience.

A suicide bombing at a New York synagogue left many people injured. Lara Edmond and Uri Levin were focused and committed to unravel the terrorist attack perpetrated by a Jewish family. This book portrays the vast knowledge of Jack Winnick on the terrorism usually carried out by the extremists in Arab countries who pose a threat to the USA and Israel. Congrats on the BOTD and a satisfactory review.
