I also found it refreshing that both of their characters lacked the typical bravado often displayed by agents in international thrillers. Uri and Lara are skilled agents who don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone. In Lara's case, it was her expertise and actions that won over those initially doubting her ability, as a woman working the assigned mission.
It must be hard to be a woman working in this field and I guess trying to prove to everyone that you're just as capable as your male colleagues would be most people's reaction, so I find this character very interesting. She must be truly confident in herself.
I'm not much into terrorism storylines, but it seems like this book is worth the while.
Thank you for your enthusiastic review!

Fast-paced, well-written edited, well-developed cast, and complex plot add to the thrill. Too realistic for me, but I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the review!

Sounds like a story you would hear on the news nowadays. It definitely seems like it would be full of action and suspense and hopefully well-developed characters. I like that there is also a romantic component weaved in the story. Thanks for the engaging review!

I'm tempted to go read the book since I have a thing for FBI-related stories. We'll see.
Though the cover is kinda scary... idk why.
I agree about the cover. Thanks for your comment.

I read the summary of the book. It was intriguing. But I was concerned about reading a book from the fourth series. But since you say it stands alone regardless of its previous books, I look forward to reading it. Nice review. :tiphat:
