I don't quite understand what "the canvas" is and how it works or helps this detective do his work. I'll have to read it for myself. I am glad to have read this review.

A simple task of seeking her grandfather's elusive gold pocket watch opens Sandra Beal into a world of complexities. I will love to see how she navigates these complexities. Well done to the author.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller story following the narrator who has the ability to see the world through a canvas-like ability of light and sound and how he uses that ability to help his client's find lost objects. It might be worth a second look. Well done.
