Yield is a frighteningly realistic end-of-the-world thriller. There are no clear-cut "good guys" or "bad guys;" everyone has some desire to save others balanced with a selfish instinct for self-preservation at all costs. It is not always clear how characters will react, which makes for an interesting read. This book also makes the reader question what they themselves would do when faced with a similar situation. All in all, a great book. Can't wait for the next one to come out!
