What are some of your best Crime, Mystery and Thriller books and authors?

Which authors and books can you recommend as your go-to for Crime, Mystery and Thriller books?
Personally, I recommend Nora Roberts. Most of her books have the right mixture of crime, suspense and romance and leaves you feeling satisfied and wanting more still. Her "In Death" series written under the pen name, "J.D.Robbs"? Pure gold!

I also recommend James Patterson and Steve Cavanagh. Their books keeps you glued till the end. What are yours?

Riley Sager and Charlie Donlea are two of my favorites. They always have really great plot twists and great characters. I also recently started reading some of Karin Slaughter's books. Personally, I think her books are excellent, but they are VERY dark and definitely not for everyone.

Thank you for the input. I'll check out come of Karin Slaughter's book, seems like the genre of book I'll like. Any recommendations?

So far, I've read The Good Daughter, Pretty Girls, and Blindsighted. The Good Daughter was my favorite. Pretty Girls was also really good, but it was hard to read at times because of how violent it was. Definitely pay attention to any trigger warnings/notes at the beginning. Her books can be pretty graphic.

I love Riley Sager as well, his book The Only One Left is a great thriller that has great unexpected plot twists and will keep you on the edge of your seat!
