The action-packed story and political thriller "Rough Diamond Rough Justice" by Avien Gray follows the life of Cain, an MI5 agent with a strong sense of morality and duty who finds danger and problems wherever he goes.

As an MI5 agent, Cain will embark on a dangerous mission that will result in his first kill, which will haunt him for life. After proving his courage on this mission, he is recruited as an undercover killer for a Bureau that no one has ever heard of. During his time there, he carries out the most secret missions until an injury from a mission protecting the Royal Family leaves him unable to work for a while.

As part of his forced time off to recover, Cain will travel around the world. He will find romance and a new career in the diamond industry in Australia, but he will also experience a huge tragedy. In Florida, he will establish connections for his new business while dealing with a personal loss. And traveling to other places, he will become involved in more dangerous businesses, and there will be plot twists at every turn of his journey. These twists will even lead him to a Chinese prison, where he will do everything in his power, with the help of very close friends, to bring justice to all those who have harmed him in the past.

The author adds suspense by telling the story in a third-person perspective, which enables readers to follow not just the main character's story but also glimpses of the other characters' parallel tales. I was gripped by this action-packed story from the very first chapter due to its fast-paced narration.

From the book's cover, the author announces a story full of action and bloody scenarios. It did not disappoint. It involves readers in a dangerous and complex world of espionage and political secrets. Even the diamond industry plays a role, keeping a sense of awareness and mystery throughout the story.

Cain and Jerry's friendship is definitely my favorite element in the narrative. They are friends who know they can always rely on one another—no matter what the world throws at them—and they don't even need to see each other every day to know this. Throughout the narrative, both of the well-developed characters exhibit encouraging development.

This book receives a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. The author's descriptions of the places Cain traveled to are amazing. He captured the essence of each culture by describing its particularities, such as the rainy weather in London, the awareness of crime in South Africa, and the unique way people speak in each place. I felt as if I were traveling with Cain, which was amazing. The book was also well-edited; I could not find any errors. There is nothing I dislike about the book.

I recommend this book to fans of espionage, crime, and political thrillers. Due to its strong language and sexual content, the book is more suitable for an adult audience.

I just finished Rough Diamond – Rough Justice by Avien Gray, and wow, what a ride! This book is packed with action and suspense, but it’s also about more than just the thrills.

The main character, Cain, is a former MI5 agent who’s trying to escape his dangerous past. He’s looking for peace in Australia, but life has other plans. When tragedy strikes, he gets pulled back into a chaotic world of crime, betrayal, and danger. The whole time, you’re rooting for him, not just because of the action, but because he’s a guy who’s been through a lot and is searching for redemption.

I really liked how the author didn’t just focus on the action scenes (though there are plenty of those!) but also explored Cain’s emotional journey. You get to see a side of him that’s more than just a tough guy. He’s complicated, flawed, and real.

The story takes us all over the place—Australia, South Africa, China—and it feels like you’re right there with Cain, facing all the high-stakes moments. The pacing is fast, and the writing is sharp. There’s never a dull moment.

If you’re into thrillers with lots of twists, action, and a hero who isn’t perfect but still fights for what’s right, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a read. I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars for keeping me hooked all the way through.

A well-written thriller, and action-packed story, and the adventures from a country to another... This book is captivating. I don't like the revenge part, but since it serves to bring to bring justice to criminals...
