After hearing so much about this book and being in my 40‘s, I decided to finally read it. I found it a bit difficult following it at first as it‘s written in the way people spoke in that day and age. After I adapted to it, I began following it and had a hard time putting it down. The twists and turns that were unexpected kept me reading through. I totally recommend this book, and would label it a ‘must read‘! :)

It is one of my favorite book, I have read it a few times in my youth. The style is a bit old fashioned, but one gets use to it pretty fast.

I found this book a good read. I can see how the dialog could be hard to read if you wasn't use to hearing it. but i agree, it is a must read.

I also read it in high school as part of our English curriculum.

I definitely would say it's a classic, and it conveys a very period-specific atmosphere. I enjoyed the "old-fashioned" quality gali refers to, as well as its subtle characterizations.
