This book for me leaves more questions than answers. We have several writings done by different people. Well, I am aware that there are several books that are not in the Bible yet in some denominations are available.

Having grown up in a Christian setting and from my personal experience, I can conclude that there is a great conflict between the Gospels and other writings. What i may desire to know is why some books were considered to be in the Bible while others were not.

What was being considered? Anyway, your review is interesting. It has explored the various areas the author has covered in his argument.

Congrats on your review featuring in the book of the day promotion.

I have never heard before about such teachings by Judas and i would like to read the book Misreading Judas" by Robert Wahler to understand the perspective, but i will stay objective on it until there are sufficient number of proofs of such claims. I do not agree that Jesus just being one of the many spiritual master and I believe he is the son of God, but I do respect for what others believe.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I am usually interested in books that present an opposite view to a long-held belief. Unfortunately, I am an atheist and not very familiar with The Gnostic Gospel of Judas, so I don't think I will be able to enjoy the book to its full extent.

This sounds like heresy to me. I do not know the author's sources or references, but how could I believe Wahler's version of a bible story which is several millennia older than him?
I don't think I'm going to read this. It doesn't interest me. God is not the author of confusion.

this wouldn't be my usual but subject is admittedly interesting and controversial i don't mind giving it try. Judas is an intriguing character so to read something different about him must be thought-provoking. good job on the review.

I directed a play called "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot" which is centered around the court trial of Judas in the afterlife. I had to do a lot more research on the subject than my Sunday School days had taught me. This book sounds like it could be very interesting!

I am not religious person and have zero interest in the subject, so I prefer to skip this book. Congratulation with BOTD all the same.

I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed this. Books on religion and religious history aren't my cup of tea, but I think this would be a good non-fiction book for those who have an interest in the relationship between Jesus and Judas. Sounds like there is a lot to chew on for readers who want an in depth look at the topic, including quotes and analysis that supports the theory.

Thanks for the interesting review. While I do find differing perspectives to be interesting I always have to take it with a grain of salt that this is someone else's beliefs and what they think is to be true. I feel that this is the case with this book, and I don't think that it will be a good fit for me. This book is one person's interpretation of the Bible, the life of Jesus and those who came before and after him. I will be passing on reading this book. I don't think that it will be a good fit for me.

I'm glad that the author was able to write on a topic that is definitely going to get some backlash and do it so well. I won't be reading this book, because it really isn't a topic that interests me. Good job though.

Even if I normally try to avoid any non-fiction books, I just couldn't stay away from this one. I always like to discover new biblical theories and Judah does seem somewhat inconsistent in canon.
