Sounds like a interesting journey. I'm curious to know how the author tackles racial and culture matters besides the simple motivational message of anyone can do anything. Nice review

This inspiring memoir tells the story of personal growth, resilience, entrepreneurship, family, and success. It offers readers a new perspective on life's challenges. The author shows that if you are willing to work hard and view challenges as chances to succeed, nothing can hold you back. Great review!

Today's BOTD is an inspiring memoir that introduces us to Monica Omorodion Swaida, a strong, independent woman who takes us on her journey from immigrant to entrepreneur and advocate. Filled with life lessons and personal stories of determination and resilience, readers who enjoy stories about overcoming obstacles, hard work, and success are definitely going to want to pick this one up today! Thank you so much for the helpful review! :-)

We are always taught to help others, make their lives pleasant, everyone should feel good about talking with you, and so on. When will we start living for ourselves? Congratulations on the BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

I love the title. Monica's remarkable story shows the importance of human connection beyond race, culture, and language.

The review of “They Love You Until You Start Thinking For Yourself” is a good review. I can’t imagine the childhood adventures one could have in family of nine! I also appreciate the author’s work and journey.

I didn’t know what life was as an immigrant was like, until Monica told me about what it seet to be in a different culture. It opened my eyes up to the world.

This is a very informative review. Sampling, I gleaned a lovely introduction to Monica's siblings. I can see from your review what to expect from the book, and it feels like a highly topical anti-racist read in addition to Monica's memoir about her life challenges and entrepreneurship.

This book is for you if you want a dose of sweet positivity from inspiring people to pursue their dreams and face their fears. You'll also find out why the main character left her family before adulthood.

Based on this review I bought this book immediately! Usually I just put them in my wish list and wait. This review made me want to act now instead of later! I enjoy nonfiction books that are real life stories of how people survived through difficult situations. The review mentioned resilience. That has become a hot topic lately, and rightfully so. It is much needed! Authenticity is important also. The review mentioned that the book lays out how things started, developed, and continued. I cannot wait to read this book!

Monica Omorodion Swaida's memoir, They Love You Until You Start Thinking for Yourself, is a story of perseverance and personal development. She encourages readers to embrace self-belief and transcend social boundaries by pursuing entrepreneurship in spite of cultural barriers after leaving Nigeria at the age of 17.

I feel very inspired by Monica’s story. Her bravery to leave home and face challenges is incredible. I admire her belief in herself and her respect for everyone, no matter where they come from. This book shows that with determination and an open heart, we can follow our dreams.

That is certainly a very young age to have left the country. Monica is an adventurous girl I'd love to read about ordinarily. However I have read the book already as it was listed as BOTD here previously, so I'll pass on this one.
