This book seems like a must-have for all entrepreneurs. It is a particularly worthy read given the globalized nature of business operations nowadays which requires that companies have knowledge of not just US economic and political structure but also those operating in different countries.

Naturally, the book is of great relevance to policymakers who would love to experience the same successes in their own countries as well. Besides, it's a baseline for future entrepreneurs wishing to be enlightened about the legal context of businesses in the country.

I appreciate the comparisons of the American entrepreneurship spirit and that of other countries. It was interesting to see how similar projects turned out in other parts of the world. The author clearly knows what they're talking about when it comes to politics and entrepreneurship.

Launchpad Republic: Why It Matters to Us All and America's Entrepreneurial Edge, With an emphasis on the political, legal, and cultural factors that have maintained "creative destruction" and advanced the nation for more than 200 years, Howard Wolk and John Landry offer an incisive and thought-provoking history of entrepreneurship in the United States. By recounting this tale, the book reveals the salient characteristics that have distinguished America from other nations and pinpoints the essential qualities required for it to continue to be at the forefront of the global economy for years to come. Launchpad Republic is a book that every policy wonk, capitalist, entrepreneur, founder, business leader, amateur historian, and technologist who is interested in how America's unwavering entrepreneurial spirit has influenced—and will influence—its destiny should have in its library. It covers important topics in an approachable style. I give it four stars out of four.
