Thanks for your review. Unfortunately, I'm an atheist, so religious books do not pique my interest. I will skip this book.

I was immediately put off of this read by the description in the email announcing today's book of the day. It reads, "WHY YOU SHOULD GET THIS BOOK TODAY

My book answers irrefutably all of the imponderables of existence including God's essence and his Perfect love. I am the only person to ever define God's essence. I prove religion to be a hoax. Spirituality pertains."

I'm sorry, to claim to be the ONLY person to ever define God's essence is a red flag to me. I am a Christian, but I do not subscribe to organized religion.

I cannot promote this book.

I don't normally read religious books, but I love that this book aims to uncover questions about God and the Bible. The author has obviously done his research and is well-versed in the Old Testament and the New Testament, and I find it quite refreshing how he compares and contrasts certain lessons gleaned from the Bible. I am looking forward to reading this; thanks for your thorough review!

Congrats on getting book of the day, and thanks for the review. I’m a fan of religious books but am still a little leery of them, simply because my religious has some different beliefs than the typical Christian and catholic religious does, so when people talk about certain things, it bothers me to read them. But this sounds like a good unbiased research book on the Bible.

That would be as convenient as saying that each citizen in a country is free to decide what a crime is. The Authority defines the parameters. The power of the gospel is found in the fact that even though the perfectness of God requires absolute sinlessness, the grace of God realizes we are incapable of it and sent us a Savior to give us forgiveness and salvation.
I concur! What a disaster society would be if each citizen could decide what was acceptable and what was a crime.
And, no, I don't need scientific proof of God's "essence." That is where faith comes in.

I get inspired to read books that are well-researched and have unbiased opinions from the author. Thank you for the descriptive review.

I am normally put off beyond retreat by anything religious, mainly, I assume, due to the preaching of the institutionalised religion. But the idea of a scientific basis for some claims has really piqued my interest. I look forward to those tedious scientific explanations :)

Thank you for such a comprehensive and inviting review!

I'm not sure that this book would be a good fit for me right now. While at times I enjoy studying religion and philosophy, I've had quite enough Fundamentalist dogma to last me a lifetime following the recent election debacle. Perhaps down the road, I might be willing to give the book a look. Thank you for your review. :tiphat:

Often authors tend to describe their own beliefs in their books. It's refreshing to have a book inviting the reader to think, where the author allows everyone to form an opinion, while providing his own opinion with reasons for it without imposing.

"Wilderness Cry" by Hilary L Hunt M.D. - The author finds that he can't accept some of the premises put forward about the nature of God in the Old and New Testaments. His thoughts are based on in0deoth research and are well worth reading. Fabulous review, Thanks.

A scientific and philosophical approach to understanding God and the universe narrated in Wilderness Cry attempted to explain the reality of life, personal beliefs, and similar themes. Good review, Mouricia25. Thanks.

I have read a sample of the book and I agree with you it is a book for everyone regardless of their religion. I also like the part where the reader can form his/her opinion. I am going to add it to my "Want To Read" shelf lest I forget about it.

Big claims from the author. I am Catholic and scandalized. But I am curious 🤔 about what he has to say.

This book is a must read for me,in our society today people are being judged due to our personal belief and orientation, many believers also have backslided due to religious criticism and doctrine.

Iam from Tanzania I enjoyed this book as it made me think and ask questions. There were many things I agreed with yet many things I questioned, thought about and reasoned over. Some things I still question and a few I still have a disagreement. Overall I found the book informative and enjoyable and I learned a few things throughout. The author came from a catholic background but it relates very well to religion in general. The main point being no matter what religion or way of life, following Jesus command to love God and love one another transcends religious lines and interpretations.
