Racism which seems to never die away as per the review keeps others stranded in a position they have outgrown because of the colour of their skin.

Excellent review! This book highlights the serious issue of racism which, unfortunately still plagues our world today. This book will definitely raise awareness.

This memoir reveals racism in a variety of settings. It saddens me to see that it is still so prevelent. I appreciate the author's tenacity in overcoming these challenges and documenting his experiences in this book, but don't think this is something I would enjoy reading.

Racism has been a hellish blow on mankind. I'd like to know the author's experience and perspective on the subject matter.

It can be very taxing for a student experiencing racial discrimination in an educational institution. The author faced it bravely. I hope his memoir will conscientize readers.

Defining Moments of a Free Man from a Black Stream by Dr Frank L Douglas
This book seems as extremely interesting, especially for me because It's more personal as usually non-fiction book is. You see, I live in a country that is very small and have almost none Black American or African resident. So to speak, this book is a personal insight to learn and comprehend struggling of another person discriminated by world, other races, big mass or individuals and their rise to success and prosperity. This autobiography will be a real treat to read, so far It’s a must-read.

A memoir that explores issues of racial discrimination and ethnic identity sounds interesting. I'm not used to the genre and the subject, so this will be something new to me.

It's nice when an author bares their soul to share with the reader experiences that are relatable on some level to everyone. I too "liked that the memoir instills a spirit of hope despite the presence of daunting obstacles." Where there is hope there is room for change.

This book seems inspiring. I understand how racism or any other form of discrimination hurts. It must have really been tough for Dr. Douglas to rise beyond odds, and that clearly shows the level of perseverance he must have had to be able to achieve his goals, regardless. I'm certainly looking forward to reading the whole of this book. Thanks you for this wonderful review!

Thank you for the review. I'm not sure if I will read this memoir or not. It's hard to relate to as I have never experienced these things first-hand. My family and community were very supportive as I grew up. I suppose I was fortunate to live in a place where racism didn't run rampant.
