I am keenly interested in the subject of racial inequality and systemic racism. The more it is written about, read about, and thought about, the more that I have hope that these issues will be eradicated some day. I am happy that Dr. Frank L. Douglas has shared his experiences and outlooks with us. :techie-studyinggray:

Memoirs are fascinating because the author is putting some of their most intimate experiences in them and it sounds like this is no different. It saddens me to know that racism is still very much an issue but with author's telling their story like this one did, hopefully it helps feed into society with positive changes.

A nice passionate memoir "Defining Moments of a Free Man from a Black Stream" by Dr Frank L Douglas, which shares the author's cultural shock when he migrated to America. The book appears interesting to me.

I appreciate the in-depth review of "Defining Moments of a Free Man from a Black Stream" by Dr Frank L Douglas.
I enjoyed the opening pages of this memoir as the existential questions posed by the author are questions I have pondered as well.
The challenges faced by Douglas and the culture shock he experiences after his arrival in the U.S. to study are intriguing.
Racial discrimination has evidently impacted Douglas. However, I am keen to find out the route he has taken despite this to achieve his career goals and also serve his community.
This is an inspirational read! Congratulations on BOTD!

It is shocking that racial discrimination is still happening. It must be very difficult to retain faith and love for one's fellow man when promotion and other advances are withheld merely based on skin colour. It sounds like Douglas overcame adversity and achieved his dreams. Thank you for the insightful review.

This book serves as an inspiration to people facing the obstacle of discrimination. The author's exploration of his life's misfortune as a black person alludes to the darkness of racism facing the world.
