This memoir sounds like a powerful and honest exploration of overcoming adversity and racial discrimination in academia and business. The author’s blunt and direct writing style, combined with his personal experiences, makes the book relevant and inspiring. Congrats on BOTD!

Congratulations on the BOTD award. This is a memoir in which the author has encountered the struggles that he had faced in his childhood and after getting a scholarship to study in educational institutions and organisations. Read this memoir to know more about the author's life.

I like your review! Ethnic and racial discrimination is one of society's greatest tragedies. What you're born into is out of your control, so being harassed or discriminated against, on the basis of that can be really painful and an uphill struggle. I'm glad this book would inspire and motivate such people to fight against those odds and emerge victorious.

Defining Moments of a Free Man from a Black Stream by Dr. Frank L. Douglas is an inspiring memoir of an African American who succeeded despite the obstacles and racism he encountered. The author shares his journey and observations about racial prejudice and evangelical hypocrisy. I believe this will be an inspiring read, and I've added it to my 'To read' list. Congratulations on the BOTD!

I am glad that Douglas shows that one can still succeed despite the presence of seemingly insurmountable odds on his path. I have always enjoy moving stories, and this is one that I will definitely enjoy, as it is both inspirational and enlightening. The fact that racial bigotry is highlighted and addressed in-depth makes the book very informative.
Many thanks for the amazing review. :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat:

Such a great work!! The review is so thorough that I belive I know now what will come from the book.
The effort to highlight the racial discrimination in modern world and sharing own experience takes a lot of courage. Also I liked how the author survived in such environment though he had to face many obstacles.

I'm not really into autobiography so I may pass on this book, but it does sound like an insightful read on how Douglas faced and overcame prejudices because of the colour of his skin.

Defining Moments of a Free Man from a Black Stream by Dr. Frank L. Douglas sounds deeply inspiring. Frank's journey from British Guiana to the U.S., grappling with racial discrimination, and excelling in medical research seems compelling.

Defining Moments of a Free Man from a Black Stream" by Dr. Frank 'Tick' Coleman is a compelling autobiography that offers a profound look into the life of an African American educator and coach. Through vivid storytelling, Coleman chronicles his journey from the segregated South to his impactful career at Lincoln University. I agree with you after reading the sample; there is a lot of technical information that just seems to pass over my head. I am not a fan of memoirs, but otherwise, it sounds great from your review.

It sounds like a heartbreaking yet inspirational book. Everyone has the right to a higher education, and no one should be denied a promotion due to their race. I'm very happy the author continued to pursue his goals in spite of all those setbacks. Fantastic review!

Douglas is from British Guiana. On receiving a scholarship, he moves to the US for studies. He faces cultural differences and shockingly high levels of racial discrimination while in the US. The author showcases the racial discrimination that is rampant in educational and business organizations and highlights the ups and downs of his life. Well-done on the review.

Racial discrimination when moving to a different country has become a huge problem. People are discriminated on their ethnicity and colour. I'm happy the author voiced out through this book. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!
