"The Gospel on Every Page: Twelve Essays" by Trey Scroggot is a book that gives a deep knowledge about the Gospel in every part of the Bible. It teaches about the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and its association with the Church. The author also brought light to the knowledge about figures in the Bible whose spiritual journey can serve as an example to follow. An example of such a figure in the Bible is Paul, whose journey teaches that having a divine encounter can bring transformation, make one active, and even enhance the movement to redeem people to Christ. Scroggot wrote this book in a way that is not only a piece of insight but also a call for redemption into a deep understanding of the scripture, knowing Jesus in the spirit, and walking with Him with faith and trust.

The themes unfolded as we learned about the basic relationship between God the Father and the Son and their significance with the Ten Commandments and the Lord's Prayer. Reading this book, I understood that having the spirit of Christ means living a life of righteousness, and a life that glorifies the Father is a life that gives the basis of understanding for divine purpose. Jesus, during his life on earth, was an interpretation and fulfillment of the laws; this led to the grace that covers those who believe and live in Christ. This is one authentic point made by the author.

The second part of the essay in the same foundation goes on profoundly about the life and ministry of Jesus on earth, the lessons, and uniqueness. Scroggot's reflection on the Brook Kidron about the rejection of Queen Vashti as similar to Christ's is very interesting, especially about the descent of the Christ image. This reflection in the Scripture in the Old Testament highlights the evidence of Christ's sacrifice.

Furthermore, the final part of the essay shifts attention to the Church and the Holy Spirit's part in making the Gospel clearer and more comprehensible from the Old Testament to the Church of the New Testament. Figures like Moses, Noah, and Job, and their enlightenment, sacrifice, and examples of the presence and endurance of the spirit of Christ, are visible throughout. This information leads believers to notice Christ's stand in the early church and partake in it as it is still ongoing today.

The ideas that this book explains encompass the connections involving the Godhead, the laws of Christ in fulfillment, the Old Testament, and the New Testament. These altogether shed light on the symbolism of God in Jesus and its theological reflections in the Scripture. The work of the Holy Spirit in convincing believers to partake in God's redemption, bringing the Gospel of the foundational Church of Christ to the present, was emphasized by Scroggot.

One thing I like about this book is the quality of knowledge contained in every section. The essays introduced nice perspectives to explain how the Gospel is the common purpose of the several books of the Scriptures of the Bible. I also appreciate the systematic approach with which the book unveiled the themes in different parts, making this book aptly understandable, especially in the way it explained the relationship among the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. I also like the way this book is thought-provoking, giving diverse ideas on things to notice and ponder about when we read the Bible. Additionally, it is a wonderful feat how scriptural reinforcements were used in this book, making it very meaningful and convincing to explain things concerning the truth about God's Word.

Honestly, I found no dislikes about this book. Its contents were well presented. It is enriching and has no distracting errors from the way it was edited. I enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end, so I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

I highly recommend this book, "The Gospel in Every Page: Twelve Essays," to any Christian who sees the enriching knowledge of the pervasive presence of the Gospel in Scripture, pastors, group leaders, and theology students. It is invaluable and resourceful for readers who want to discover the important connections in the Bible and its unified purpose with the Gospel. Trey Scroggot is well-grounded in the scripture, adding an extra layer of authenticity and aiding a proper understanding while exploring the richness of this bookmark.
