Re-title the book

I think the title is fitting,it captures the crux of the book without giving too much away.

I'd call it "The Lost Princess".

A Toss in the Sea would be a good title. I think the pirate theme befits it.

The Storm because it is about the tumult in taking over the piracy business.

The Bitter-sweet would be another title. This is because it is about the difficult choices Brandy has to make which may take either of the two tastes.

"The Red Witch" sounds awkward to me. I think something else would be better, like The Unlikely Witch.

"The Unbeknown End" because Brandy does not know what her eventuality will be.

Perhaps a fusion of the witch and pirate elements would be suited - such as "The Red Witch of the High seas" but if the author prefers keeping the current title it would be suited as well, except maybe as "Ballad of a pirate princess."

I like the title someone posted earlier: "The Forgotten Heir." "The Red Witch" is good, too, but it reminds me of Game of Thrones.

I do agree that the title of this book did mislead me as a reader because I was expecting to read a pirates adventure when it seemed that the pirate theme really only held a few chapters at the beginning of the book. However, I think the title changing to The Red Witch is equally misleading until you actually read the book and know who the Red Witch is. I do agree with other reviews which state keeping pirate in the name is a good idea. Overall, I think the author understands his book best and think his title, though long does capture both the theme and his writing style quite nicely and I do not think a name change is necessary.
