Etini Willie wrote: 01 May 2022, 08:00 What makes the Maestro Monologue different from other self help books is that Rob White in writing this pushes you to have a conversation with the biggest factor responsible for your success in life. That is 'You'.

If you read the book religiously towards the Maestro Monologue part you would find 'yourself talking to yourself'. This heightened level of self awareness can set one to push limits.
I agree. The only one in the best possible situation to help you succeed, ironically, is 'You'. Rob encourages us to explore ourselves, for ourselves, and in a way that helps us find meaning and purpose in our lives.

Bertha Jackson wrote: 01 May 2022, 10:29 After reading the first few chapters, I appreciate the questions the author asks at the end of some of the chapters. Other self-help books I have read asked questions, but I could not relate to them. I can in this book. I found myself wanting to answer these thought-provoking questions. For example, one was question was "If I were free of the beehive of excuses buzzing in my head, what other “I AM” would I enjoy claiming?" The first thing that popped into my head was that I have been contemplating taking a road trip but keep putting it off with numerous excuses of why I should not go.
In deed. Rob's technique of asking healthy questions as opposed to unhealthy questions is very relatable. The simplest one that stood out for me was, "How might I see myself differently so I might learn something that empowers me?" in stead of "What's wrong with me?"

What made Maestro Monologue by Rob White stand out and unique should be the evaluation questions the author posed at the end of the book. This is lacking in most self help books. It calls for deep refection in oneself. And I loved it.

I suspect another way my book is different from all other self-help books is that I am different from all other self-help authors (as they are also different from me). That difference in personality shows up in my writing style, which is different from all other writing styles. This is how unique all of us are :) Rob

It is very challenging. It does not give you the regular make money tip, grow from poverty to riches. Rather it guides you on becoming a better version of yourself.

I truly enjoy having you folks tell me what makes my book different from other self-help books. Your answers offer me the opportunity to learn from you, and there's a lot that each of you can teach me. It has been said that good writing points at the unseeable, but never really defines it. That's sort of what it's like to write about "The Maestro." :) Thank you for your input Rob

I think that the thought-provoking questions throughout the book are the ones that makes this book somehow different from other self-help books.

The book was relatable and keeps the reader flowing with it. The author talks about one important aspect of a person's growth, which is the person. Improving ourselves is important and Rob White shows us how important we are.

The book is unique in that it leaves one in deep thoughts, in a bid to answer some questions gotten from the book, you discover you are in a conversation with yourself. That is you talking to the "You" in "You".

It's it different because this book talks directly about the weakness and the strength of humanity.

I loved that Rob took a more practical approach to his book and it gave the book an edge over other self-help books. The exercises included in the writing made the applicability of the concepts much easier.

Thank you for pointing out, Prestige-best, that you noticed my book talks directly about the weakness and the strength of humanity. If we cannot look at what's wrong, how are we to make it right. Right? At the same time, if we cannot see the incredible talents and strengths of humanity, how are we to know what we are aiming for. Great catch :) Life is the way it is (for us) because we are the way we are. Looking at the way we are, ways that are not working for us, is as important as looking at the ways we can be if we are willing to see ourselves differently. Again, I'm glad you made note of that :) Rob

For me, what sets this book apart from other similar types of books is that
The author's writing style is so well chosen as to make it personally familiar to all readers. Personally, when I read, I had a feeling that I was getting advice from a friend who knows me very well. I have never had a case like this and I think that is the biggest difference.
