I have the Kindle and I love it. In the beginning it took some getting use to. The screen size seemed to small making it seem like I was having to turn the pages more than if I was reading a traditional book and I had to learn to hold the kindle so I didn't accidently turn the page before finishing the one I was on. Now that I am used to it I find the convenience of having many books on hand really nice especially since I'm always in the middle of three or four books at a time. The ease of buying and downloading the books on the kindle is my favorite thing. Its a great feeling to be able to read a book as soon as you want to with no more waiting time than the minute it takes to download. If you read a lot, you'll still read traditional books but, the convenience of an e-reader cannot be underrated. Also if you read a lot then you are also someone who can fall easily into a story and it won't matter which format you choose. A good story can still be enjoyed whether its read on a computer screen, an e-reader or a traditional book.

I've used both the Kindle and the Kobo at considerable length. If you own a Blackberry or an iPhone, then you're probably already familiar with the touch screen vs. conventional keyboard debate. If you're accustomed to a standard keyboard interface, buy a standard Kindle. If you like touch screens, get a Kobo or one of the new Kindles. Either way, you'll get used to it. Yes, bookmarks are very easy and efficient to use on the Kindle. You can place one anywhere in a book while reading by clicking 'menu' and pressing the appropriate option. Honestly, you can read effectively on both screens. Differences are marginal. I would give the Kindle a slight edge here again, because a touch screen sometimes turns a page too far or takes too long to load the new page. Yes, you can make notes and highlight quotes with ease on the Kindle. This is also possible on the Kobo, though I found the highlighting feature to be difficult to access and use. The Kindle is, again, superior in that respect. So, you should buy a Kindle.

I used a Prestigio e-book and that was really terrible. I`d advice you never buy the products of this company. First of all - there are bugs with reading books! You sometimes can`t see several sentences a page - you need to turn on a horizantal position of text to read these words. It also was hanging for several times and a reset-button did nothing to the e-book. Now it has lost a connection with my laptop for the 7-th time and I`m gonna give it back to the seller.

I have a Nook Simple Touch and I absolutely love it. The whole e-reading experience is way better than I expected.
