Re: Virtual library
My library uses the Libby app. You can choose to read books on Libby, or with Kindle. I always lean towards Kindle because it lets me post my quotes to Goodreads easier. I love using the LIbby app for audiobooks though!Cassandra K wrote: ↑04 Dec 2013, 17:34 hi everyone the reason I choose kindle is because in my state they have virtual library and nook is not an option for downloading books I have a nook account with many books in it 300+ but I'm currently using kindle for all of my library booksit's easy to use and easy to return library books

Where are you?
We don't have libraries because nobody reads here, but I can still download the app.

People who read are hiders. They hide who they are. People who hide don't always like who they are.

That sounds interesting. I think I'll have to check that out for myself.

I agree. It’s probably one of my most well used reading apps on my phone and computer. It great to check it out because usually your library will have more variety through the app. If they only have one copy of the book you want, you are able to place yourself on a waitlist for the book and get Notifications when the book becomes available for you to borrow.

I like your idea. I do that too. In some instances, I even choose to listen to the books.Tzara Drusak wrote: ↑27 Apr 2018, 15:00 I use the Kindle app as well, but branch out with other E-readers. If it's possible, I store the downloaded books in a folder titled "Library" in pdf, epub or other available formats on my computer and have multiple E-readers with which to open them. This way I have multiple methods by which I can read my books, with many options and features present in each.

Oh! I hadn't heard of this before! I'll check this out. Thanks for mentioning it!Eclecticmama wrote: ↑16 Mar 2020, 14:45 The app I use to borrow library books is called Libby. Ever since I've started using it my reading has increased ten fold. I get to reread old books, I get to place holds on books that are currently unavailable, even extend current holds. Technology is awesome.

Interesting. I haven't given GoodReads much thought. Maybe I should give it a try.aruntr2001 wrote: ↑04 Jul 2020, 10:32 I also use kindle for all my virtual or digital book reading. I also use my desktop to manage the reading contents. I also use Goodreads to update my reading status. I think that is one best place to collaborate with all your reading progress.

Oh yes, nothing beats the sights and sounds of a real library!
And yes, my virtual library is way larger than my real one too.
