I have a Kindle. I bought it because of the quality and price. I've had it for a year now and I love it!

I have a nook. The reason cause there's a bn in town and getting bn gift cards are easy for me to buy my nookbooks. In my town it's hard to find Amazon gift cards which I don't understand why but because of that is why I went nook so I can use bn gift cards.

I have a kindle because it was a cheaper option and my family recommended to me.

I did a lot of research before choosing the Kindle Touch over the Nook, because there are far,far more 'daily' offered eBook freebies available for the Kindle at EReaderIQ.com, than the Nook. I have owned my Kindle for just over 1 year now and have over 700 eBooks on it,and they were all except 5-6 totally free! And I am choosy about what I will download. The book must generally have at least 288 pgs, have several like a minimum of 7[4-5 star reviews],and the synopsis must sound interesting to me.

I have a Kindle. The reason is that I am quite obsessive about researching new technology before I buy. I fluffed around checking this and checking that on the internet, downloaded all kinds of reviews and comparisons, for NEARLY TWO MONTHS (!!) and my husband got fed up of me always discussing the pros and cons of e-readers and hogging the internet, so he just went out and bought me a Kindle!! I haven't looked back!!

Hmmmm - maybe I should try this with gold and diamonds.....

I dont have either. I'd rather have the hard copy of the book. The actual book in my hands.

I have a Nook. Simply because it's easier and faster for me to get a hold of books with. I don't have to drive my car down the street to a store and browse for ages with my husband standing behind me huffing and puffing about how much time I'm taking. It's a complete convenience to me. I love the fact that I have literally millions of books to choose from, simply by switching my wi-fi feature on. At my fingertips is every book that I could possibly ever want to read and so many, many more. A vast variety of selections for me to drool over.
I choose the Nook over the Kindle because I'm more familiar with Barnes and Noble then I am Amazon. I'm very comfortable using the Nook, and whenever I look at Kindle, my brain frazzles and screams "Alien!". XD

I have a kindle, I did some research between kindle and nook, decided for the kindle as I was already an amazon customer and I live in Ecuador and it was easier for postage with amazon

I have a Kindle, I am an AVID Amazon user and PRIME subscriber so the Kindle was the way to go with me. I am able to get a free book a month to read which is great on my budget and if they just don't happen to have the book I want electronically then I can always order it through Amazon and with the Prime membership it arrives at my house within 2 days. Love the quickness of the kindle and the quickness of the shipping if needed.

I chose a kindle because it is connected to amazon. There are more selections of books in my opinion. Plus, I have gotten so many free books too! Those free books sparked an interest in new authors and generes!

I have a Kindle Fire. I absolutely love it!! Best thing they have made yet! I can read my books at ease and when I need to look up a word or need a break from reading I can watch a movie, surf the net and even do my school work all from one little device. The only thing it is missing is 3 or 4G wireless where you can connect to the net virtually anywhere in range of a cell phone tower. Also it has a weak part where you plug the cord into it to charge it and if you are not careful it will quit charging all together, Amazon is great at replacing them when they do this but then you have to send the old one back and re-load the new kindle with all your personal things it is a mess. That is the only two complaints I have though. I would not trade the kindle fire for a nook or otherwise either. I am a very satisfied customer.

I got a Nook color for Christmas and would have preferred the Simple Touch because I don't use the color as a reader, more to browse the internet.

I wanted a Nook product because I feel that I have to support B&N over Amazon. The Kindle definitely has more books to borrow through OverDrive, but the Nook still seems better to me despite what others say. I feel that it sits in my hand better.

Neither - I just downloaded the free app to my phone, tablet and laptop. It was free and it meant I didn't have to spend any more money. They all work perfectly fine and I don't see any reason to purchase kindle or nook.

I have a kindle 4 and I got it in 2011 and I love it because there is such a wide choice of books which I wouldn't be able to purchase on paperback also it saves space in my house otherwise I would be over run with books I do however lend the odd book from the library due to the fact I sometimes just want to hold a book.

Amazon has plenty of free books also which is great specially when wanting to try a new series because the first one being free lets you taste the series for example peachville high the first book was free and now I hooked on both the series and the author sarra cannon :)

KINDLE ALL THE WAY

I have a nook because it was recommended to me by several family members. I also personally prefer a nook to a kindle after reading in the news about how when you purchase a kindle book you aren't actually buying the book, you are just renting it (not sure if they have changed this or not). As far as I know, you own nook books when you buy them.
