Yes, it's part of Kindle Prime service and, as far as I'm concerned, a way of bringing my books to the attention of readers. I'm happy to offer 'potential' readers one of my books for free, as a kind of sample. If they like it, I'm hoping they'll then go back and buy some of the others.
Of course, a person with patience could simply wait for each of the books to come up, in turn, for the free offer. That way they could accumulate my whole catalogue - at no expense!

I think it helps to advertise good authors. As I have also discovered favourite Authors and series this way. Also every time I download a free book I get an email requesting me to leave a review. Some of my free ebooks I have latter found have gone up in price a few weeks after I had downloaded them.HateToWin wrote:i think it really depends on the book, when i first got my nook i went to the barnes and noble store and got as many free ebooks as i could find that looked interesting, and have ended up buying quite a few books from those authors that i would not have bought other wise merely because the free book was so good.
