I should be a product tester for both companies. I've owned and broken both versions. I have a cheap one from Chapters right now and it's their brand. I think I'm partial to the kindle. Which one would you suggest I replace?

I have a Kindle. The Kindle was a gift, and I like it. But I like having the apps for the other devices because it opens up the option for a few more books. I also have an android tablet and a surface RT that I use for reading a lot for reading. I have an app for Nook, iBooks and just recently I got the Oyster app. Oyster is a lot like Amazon, only its just books.

I have a Kindle Fire HDX. I never really looked into a Nook, but I like my Kindle just fine. It works perfectly for reading.

I have a Kindle, and a Kobo.
Kindle has more selection so I use that one for purchasing my books. The Kobo I use to get books from the library.

I got a Kindle because I wanted to use it in my college classes and a Kindle is a lot easier to carry around than my clunky laptop.

I have a kindle, one of the first ones that's just the basic, most simple one. I love it and have over a thousand books on it and counting. After research I decided I just liked the kindle better than the nook, and I haven't regretted my choice so far. I am looking to get a kindle paperwhite within the next year to fit my needs and wants in a reading device a bit better.

I needed a kindle because I read too much, and too quickly. I love real books (who doesn't?), but sometimes it's nice having basically a library in my purse whenever I need it. Endless reading material without the bulk!

I have a kindle. I tried the Book first, and was disappointed with what I saw. It worked slowly, and was lacking many important features such as the ability to watch videos, take pictures, or chat with video or audio. I purchased a kindle HD7, and I'm so happy with it! I am also much more comfortable with the Kindle book store than I was with Barnes and Noble.

I actually have 2 Kindles! The original one and the Kindle White. The Kindle White is the one I use now all the time because of the built in light. It was too much of a hassle hooking up an external light to the Kindle at night...just an added piece of equipment to hassle with.

I love my Kindle, I never go anywhere without it! I also like the way you can download the ebook to the Kindle and to the Kindle app on my iPad, from Amazon. Never too far away from my reading materials!

I was a Barnes and Noble shopper for years before eReaders existed so I naturally favored the Nook. I have loved both the 1st gen and the simple touch that I have. I absolutely loved the screen on both. Much easier on my eyes than the more laptop/computer type screens. I also wanted a strict eReader and not any of the fancy stuff that you can get on some of the Kindle models.

Kindle all the way. I like amazon, and it's so easy to download books. I also think there is more versatility with the kindle than with the nook.

Kindle fan. I never looked into the nook, but friends with nooks often complain. Personally, my older Kindle is great for reading.

I actually have both apps on my phone, although I prefer my Kindle app, and my mom gave me a nook for Christmas. So no matter what I always have a book at my finger tips whether it's my phone, nook, or paperback/hardback.

I have had both but I currently have a kindle.
I have a kindle right now because before the Nook went to a tablet there was more things that could be done on the kindle.
I really do enjoy both products, but I currently have a kindle.

I have a kindle. I orginally purchased a nook because I liked the concept of it tying directly in with Barnes and Noble but unfortunately the formatting of the books on the nook drove me crazy. Then I looked into the Kindle. I like the ease of access and the formatting of the books. I also enjoy the customer service you get with Amazon and find that the Kindle has been more durable than my nook.

I have a Kindle (in fact, I'm writing this post on it right now :)) I have looked at the Nook in Barnes and Noble and I found it to be too small for my taste. I'm not sure if they come in other sizes. One of my favorite things about the Kindle is that I can get the definition of a word just by clicking on it. When I was only reading paper books, I would literally make lists of words to look up in the dictionary later! Now I can easily get the definition quickly and actually incorporate it into the story I am reading. When I was writing them down, my five second memory had already forgotten in what the context was used! The only problem now is that press on words in paper books before I realize I'm not on Kindle! :D Another thing I like: when I am typing something, it predicts what word I want to write and gives me suggestions based on that word so I can just click on it without writing the word out. It will also automatically correct a word of I missed a letter or two. It also has a speech to text feature so you could just speak and it will write for you. I have also found many sites that will send me "free books of the day". It's (another) way to discover new authors and series. Whew! That's a pretty detailed post. If you actually made it to the end, I hope that helps!
