I have a kindle simply because I am an Amazon shopper and it was a good deal for the Kindle HD Fire 6. Amazon also has more deals on how to get free books than Nook does and I liked the selection that they had for free books a whole lot better. I do however have a Nook app on my kindle.

I have the Kindle app (free) on my iPad. I then use Kindle Unlimited from there. I didn't feel the need to have a separate e-reader.

I bought a Kinlde Fire a few years ago. I wouldn't go as far as saying I would recommend NOT getting one, but I will say that I personally do not enjoy reading on a screen. My biggest issue is that after a while the screen really hurts my eyes. Another huge problem that I found is that it is nearly impossible to read outside as the glare from the sun makes in impossible to see. I've heard that that the newer Kindle paperwhite eliminates a lot of these issues but I still find a great deal of satisfaction in a bookshelf full of books. :geek:

I asked for a basic Kindle (so it has no light, no ability to click embedded links, etc.) for Mother's Day of 2012 and really didn't intend to use it for much, other than for the occasional book. I chose it, well, because it was just the most well-known and I'm a pretty heavy Amazon shopper. It just seemed like the easiest choice. :) But I find myself using it much more now than I expected, mostly for non-fiction and erotica. When it comes to my preferred genres, though, I still buy everything in hardcover and paperback.

I have a Kindle and I love it. It is so convenient and no more carrying around a tote bag with the books that I am currently reading. I still read paper books as well.

Kindle seems to be easier to use. Definitely prefer it to Nook.

I have a Kindle and I love it - especially for holidays or when there's bad lighting! I still buy books outside of kindle, but it's great when you can get an expensive book for only a few pounds on kindle.

I have a Kindle Voyage. I saw some reviews on Youtube and decided to go with that over the Kindle Paperwhite.

I have a Kindle Paperwhite, here's why:

-Long battery life (weeks)
-Convert PDFs to my Kindle
-Add MOBI's to my Kindle
-Read in the sunlight
-No distracting Apps or e-mail
-Portable and size of book never changes!

I have a nook. I got it for a birthday present and loved it. When it is time for a new one, I will be staying with the Nook. :)

I have a Kindle that I got for xmas a few years ago, but when I use a reader I usually use my Ellipses tablet because I have both the kindle app and the nook app on it and have different books on them. I like using both because sometimes when i cant find the book im looking for on one i can almost always find it on the other

I have a Nook HD. I received it when i had my third child because he had to stay in the hospital for awhile so they thought i would have something to do while at the hospital. I recently got a paperwhite kindle because i wanted to be able to read outside without killing my Nook's light so quickly.

I had one of the earlier nook models years ago and it became an expensive paperweight within a few months. They ended sending me another and it happened again, so i gave up on nook. On the other hand, I bought a Kindle paperwhite about three years ago and it's still working like a dream and I use it every day. It's definitely worth the money and far more resilient in my experience.

I had a Kindle and now I own a Nook. Hands down my Kindle was better. Unfortunately I lost it when I moved but luckily am still able to read my books through the Kindle app on my phone. I purchased a Nook 2 years ago on Black Friday and got it for $40 so how can I pass it up? Ironically I never shop on Black Friday and haven't since but at least I bought something that I use all the time.
