I have a Nook. I use he kindle app on my Nook to read kindle books. The Nook also has its own ereader app that lets you read any pdf file. Those are the apps I use the most on it.

I have used both the Kindle and the Nook apps. I started with the Kindle app on an android phone to have something to read when I was waiting for children to get out of classes or practices. I liked it because I didn't have to worry about carrying my book with me (I tend to forget in a rush, and don't like reading multiple books at once).
I then got a Nook as a gift (at the time the Nook seemed more advanced) I enjoyed the Nook because I could then read at night without disturbing the spouse with lights.
After using both apps I found that I liked the features and ease of downloading to the Kindle more than the Nook and have since switched all my new readings to the Kindle. Both are good Kindle just made it easier for me to get my books quickly and has more free reading options of new authors.

I have had my Kindle Paperwhite for about 18 months and i must admit i love it!! I still read paperbooks but i find tht the Kindle is so beneficial when you are going on holiday and don't want to pack 3/4 books. Also i find it really helpful when i want to browe for free books. The paperwhite doesn't have glare in the sun either which is another plus!

I have a Nook that has been dead since the Stone Age, but I do use both kindle and nook apps on my phone and iPad. I generally prefer my iPad though because I read fast and flipping through the pages on my phone is pretty rediculous. I really like kindle though because I can buy the book on Amazon and can choose where I want it sent (iPad, cell phone etc)

By default I have inherited the Kobo app, which comes with the books I have acquired from Kobo, running on my Lenovo Ideapad. I'm not sure if it is better, worse or on par with Ereaders or Ebook apps. I have no point of reference for the others, I would say that if you can comfortably read the ebook on whatever device you have, then the debate of best/ worst becomes relevant only in terms of popularity of the various devices and apps. :techie-studyingbrown:

I've got a Tolino Shine. I feel it's more intuitive in it's software design than the kindle, but it's not all that great for reading comics, since it has some ghosting when you go from black to white pages.

I will read on anything. Tablet, smartphone computer it truly depends where I am and what I am doing. And when I exercise I even like an audiobook. The most important to me is that I can pick up a book/device to read when or where I happen to be. I have bought books from Amazon and even my Library. My favorite app however is my Overdrive, I have 4 libraries I can borrow books from on line, or purchase direct from the Library. I keep it synced with all my devices so my books are always with me!

I am old school with a kindle paperwhite, but I also use my phone sometimes. I have been looking at getting a new one so I love hearing all of your suggestions! I usually just do ebooks when I borrow from the library, but they are now not compatible with the paperwhite :(.
I just like the feel of holding the actual book!

I use google play books. It has low batery use and works perfectly with my notes and highlights. It is great for non-fictional books as it is easier to spot a subject if you want to review it and it saves your notes on Drive, whith you can access anywhere =]

Though, enjoy fictional reading on paper!

I switch between Kindle and iBooks apps on my phone for ebook reading, but i tend to use Kindle more because it has a nice font style that's not in iBooks.

Well, I have a balance from Google Opinion Rewards app so when my library doesn't have the next book in a series I use my phone with Google Play Books. Not my favorite, but hey I gotta use up my free $! :D

I love my Kindle Fire HD 6" and use the 3M Cloud Library to get books from the library. I absolutely LOVE the blue shade feature in the Kindle that makes it easier on the eyes at night. I have read every single night before bed for years. I wanted the Fire instead of Paperwhite so I could do internet stuff and watch movies but I barely do anything but read on it. I'd like to see if the resolution is better.

So, the 3m is my favorite because I'm used to it, then Kindle and Google. I despise books in Kindle that aren't formatted right and the margins are enormous. I like a tiny margin and actually won't read books if the margins don't change enough. Lol. I'm interested to see if the Paperwhite is a lot better resolution wise. Anyone know?
