Is Kindle Unlimited worth it?

I'm curious about Kindle Unlimited. Is it worth it? I'm a really voracious reader and often go through a book every couple of days. Being on a tight budget, I try and read free books, which if we're honest, are often not great quality. I'm hoping that the standard of the books on KU is better than free books in the Apple store for example.

I'd love to hear your experiences, please. Are you happy with the range of books? What have you read on KU. Are there any titles that you were surprised to see on there? Or am I just generally misunderstanding how KU works :eusa-think:
