This is true for us young ones. This is just a struggle for elders as we all know technology being advanced and remodeled every now and then does not really work on their favor.

Because an e-book reader is significantly closer to a cell phone and can access a book even while on the go, e-books are much easier and more convenient to use than paper books. It's also practical because you can quickly look up unfamiliar terms in the dictionary on your phone.

I do agree, but I feel that this gap can be filled by the creation of programs that target the elderly and bring them up to speed on some basic technology. I feel the biggest problem is not how fast technology changes but rather a lack of foundation in the basics.
