While the book is saturated in facts, figures, and feelings that are quoted as unique to the USA context, the underlying principles concerning a new, reconfigured financial literacy is of universal interest. I do, however, think we should be wary of trying to establish the pseudo causal relationship between financial education and healthy financial decision-making and behaviour. Knowledge is only one of many factors in determining how an individual engages with 'retirement'.

I guess the general concepts discussed in the book can be applied anywhere. However, the specific programs mentioned might be exclusive for the US. Similar programs can be found in some countries but not all.

There are certain lessons that might not be applicable to persons outside the US but I think a lot of the advice given is applicable everywhere particularly as rising inflation rates are worldwide.

The topic it handles is universal and I think it can be applied anywhere else apart from the US. In fact, it IS applicable everywhere else.

Exactly! And I bet such readers will find the book helpful. This is one instance why this book is applicable even outside the United States.

The book is particularly applicable in Kenya, as both employed and unemployed have something to take: retirement, social security, and the rest.

The lessons taught in this book can be easily applied in most modern economies. With globalization, we find the same economic system almost in every country. The financial struggles are also the same. The challenge in the developing countries will come from the fact that one needs an income to be able to prepare their reconfigurement (to start a new career, a new activity...).

Definitely. "Retirement planning" isn't an American term, it's universal, and while the book is somewhat tailored towards the US audience, I think everyone can take something from it. I certainly have.

I live in India and I am pretty sure that reading this book can help any Indian reader as much as the key target audience of the book. Though the retirement options work differently here, the core concepts and financial psychology remain the same.

The lessons in this book can be applied to everyone and not just the US citizens. I'm Kenyan but I can relate to most of the issues addressed in the book. At the end of the day, I can't help but feel that we all face the same financial issues regardless of our nationalities.

Yes. people outside the U.S. can pick up a lot from this book and apply it in their lives. Although it may not be a 1:1 recreation of what the author has said. I don’t think anyone will find it hard to implement these in their lives regardless of where they live.

I think the culture of my country is a bit different but I can relate to it. Here, people rarely worry about certain things like the future and how to prepare for it. But there are still valuable lessons I got from the book.

I live within the US, and have never traveled outside the boarders, so I'm not sure if this would be relevant to those outside the USA or not.
